Hiring local and foreign staff requires strict compliance with Ukrainian labor laws and instructions, as well as accounting rules. This is one of our areas of expertise.

We advise foreign companies, Embassies and international technical assistance organizations on a wide range of labor law matters, including employment agreements, internal employment policies, individual dismissals and contentious terminations, employee pension arrangements and benefit schemes, workforce restructuring, mass layoff programs and project outsourcing.

We also draft IP-related employee and independent contractor software development agreements that impose strict confidentiality, intellectual property protection, and non-compete obligations fully aligned with Ukrainian law.

In many cases we work in partnership with in-house legal and human resources teams and international law firms. As part of our assignment, we obtain foreign work permits and temporary residence permits for foreign employees.

When necessary, we represent the employer, as well as foreign employees and their families, before the State Employment Service of Ukraine and the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
