In addition to preliminary searches in advance of preparing and filing applications for patents and trademarks, we advise multi-national companies in corporate and M&A transactions with IP-related issues, including regulatory data protection, verification of registered IP rights and licensing agreements. We also manage IP portfolios, track renewal dates and effectuate timely payments of all official fees.

An increasingly important part of our practice involves foreign investment in defense-related M&A transactions involving startups with unique dual-application technologies. We assist with registration and transfer of all related intellectual assets, including trademarks, copyrights, patents and technologies, trade secrets and know-how.

We represent our clients in disputes with the state authorities, including the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovations, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, the law enforcement agencies and Ukrainian customs authorities.
